Swe-cha likes!

Our little man does not take easily to strangers. Well, let me clarify that... he does not take easily to other people wanting to get close to him.

For example, at our building, one day a neighbor's baby started walking after Swe-cha. The baby, a few months younger than Swe cha, was fascinated with Swe-cha and kept walking after him. Eventually, Swe-cha got frustrated and cried because the baby was standing in the middle of the hallway and he couldn't find a way past the baby. This happened 2 months ago.

A few weeks ago, at daycare, his seatmate at lunch wanted to feed him some of her finger food. Our boy just ignored her at first but when she kept persisting and eventually kept touching his shoulder, he cried (probably because she was being too fresh already, haha!).

There was a time when the older girls would all fuss over him whenever we come in the morning, "here's the baby! the baby's here!" and he would always cry. Now, J has the children trained and nobody crowds Swe-cha or fusses over him and he's fine.

Up till now, he still cries when Tito S says "Hi Sean".

Fortunately, while he is masungit to most, there are some people whom he liked instantly and we really do not know why. That list includes:
- my parents
- hubby's parents
- my sister and brother-in-law
- hubby's brothers, both of them
- he does like playing with my brother so long as I am around
- my grandma, aunts and uncles in California (now, THIS was a surprise)
- J, daycare owner

Anyway, the point of my story is that we now have a new addition to this list - L, the new staff at his daycare. She started today and Swe-cha definitely likes her. Curious, I asked how their day went and I was told that she read books to the kids this afternoon - ah! That explains it, Swe-cha loves books. And both J and L confirmed that Swe-cha loved storytime.
