This post is to commemorate Swe-cha's acceptance of his big boy toothbrush (Colgate) - finally!We've been trying to brush his teeth with this brush for a few weeks (or has it been a month already ? I don't even remember now) but he's always fought us tooth and nail - literally! - and would only accept his training toothbrush (NUK).
Imagine my surprise when I showed him the brush and he opened his mouth nicely.
EH ? Anak ko ba to ?
In any case, we're happy and hope that it isn't too late to finally start brushing his teeth with a real toothbrush. I doubt that the training brush was able to get into the nooks and crannies at all.
If he continues to accept this in the next few days, we should be ready to try the toothpaste in a few days (he did not like it before either).

6/24 - yes, he is okay with the toothbrush. No complaints tonight despite the pain in his mouth.
ahhhh please tell me paano napapayag ang isang baby to brush his teeth. kc anak ko, 3 years old na, di ko alam how to brush his teeth, yung front teeth lang nababrush ko, then wala na!

ReplyDeleteHave you tried brushing your teeth in front of him? Sa case namin, pag ayaw ni Swe-cha mag brush, nag-to-tooth brush si Daddy sa harap nya para panoorin siya ni Swe-cha. So far, nag wo work naman and the little kid opens his mouth just like Daddy.
oo, nagbubrush ako ng teeth sa harap nya, while we're taking our bath. kaso prob is, pag open nya ng mouth, then pag pasok ko ng brush, isasara na nya yung mouth nya. so nasa loob yung toothbrush then nakasara mouth nya.

Berry - pasalitain mo siya. Si hubby & son, nag "aaaaaah" or "buzzzzzz" sila na sound effect. Ginagaya nila yung buzzing sound ng electric toothbrush kunwari.
