Swe-cha reached a couple of milestones yesterday. First, he's graduated to wearing size 1 diapers now. We've run out of the newborn-sized diapers and moved on to the size 1 as the newborn ones' elastic sides are digging into his legs. The size 1 diapers still look a little big on him, sorta like having him wear granny-panties (heehee) but they do fit and they do not leak.
As for the other milestone, this is where it goes into a gray area. The good news is that he slept through the night - 5 hours, straight! - the down side is that I also held him all night. I'm not too worried about his milk intake as he fed every 2 or 2.5 hrs all day yesterday and was taking in 4 oz of milk each time. His usual is a max of 3.5 to 4 oz every 3 hrs. Oh! Turns out that there is a term for this, could this be what is called "cluster feeding" ?
Last night, he was so fussy and cried all the time. We didn't know what was bothering him - we burped him, held him, changed his diaper, changed his clothes. We eventually stripped him down to his underwear and that seemed to calm him down, so he probably felt too warm in his sleeper.
Then he started crying again and he would only stop crying if I held him. So I did.
All night long.
*sigh*
It was a good bonding moment for me & my son, I loved holding him that long but I can't say that I want to repeat that soon.
