Big boy

I dropped Swe-cha off at daycare this morning.

Normally, one of the DC staff would come to me as I'm taking his coat off in the cubby area and would pick him up to bring him inside.

This morning, J comes to pick him up and he complains & wants to be let down. J lets him go and he waves goodbye to her and he proceeds to walk to the infant play area. J and I were both so amused and we watched to see what he was going to do. He checked out the shelves, saw nothing that interested him so he proceeded to the baby gate that goes into the inner area.

He holds onto the gate, finds it locked and holds onto the bars with two hands & shakes it much like prisoners do in jail. M comes over and carries him over the gate. Swe-cha then goes off to check out the toys inside.

I was so proud my big independent boy (no more asking to be carried around all day) that I went nearer to try and get a picture. He sees me and waves "baaaa" goodbye.
