Teething

We're officially in the teething stage.

Swe-Cha's lower central incisors erupted a few days ago. I have not yet been able to take a decent picture as he would always stick out his tongue when I try to expose his teeth / gums.

Last night, he gave me a pleasant surprise - the baby who had been waking up to feed every 2 hrs (3, if we're lucky) suddenly slept through the night. He slept for 5 hrs and 15 minutes. Straight.

I am amazed how he could go from being a snacker to STTN but then again, I shouldn't be surprised because he can also go from calm & peaceful to screaming with hunger in 0 seconds.

*smile* Hay! My son talaga :D

Unfortunately, there is a downside to my story. When Swe-cha woke up after the 5 hr, 15 minute sleep ? He took 3 oz of milk and stayed awake. He tossed and turned. He whined, moaned, and cried. He normally does not wake up for the day till around 8:30 to 9:30am and this was only at 5:30am!

He did not calm down until hubby thought about getting him a chilled teether. Thankfully, Swe-cha has enough dexterity in his hands and fingers to hold onto his teether now (tamad lang most of the time and wouldn't hold onto it if I'm there to hold it for him) so Daddy has gone back to sleep. Mommy, on the other hand, still has milking duties to perform.
