Babycenter tells me that from the 6.5 inches last week, Swe-Cha has now grown to 10.5 inches. A whole 4 inches in a matter of 1 week ? No wonder I've been feeling more movement and my belly has been feeling very tight whenever I stand upright. Swe-cha is probably feeling cramped too.
Can't wait to find out if Swe-Cha is a boy or a girl. We'll know soon, hopefully.

In the meantime, we started brewing the Po-Tai herbal medication today, this is supposed to keep Swe-cha strong and healthy.
The meds are busy a-boiling in the kitchen and that old familiar smell of traditional Chinese medicine is permeating the whole house. It kind of reminds me of home.... and high school when I would take a lot of these meds which were supposed to help me grow taller :-P
Interesting. What does it taste like?
ReplyDeleteThis picture was taken before boiling. After boiling, the broth becomes very dark - almost a solid black - but it doesn't become thick.
ReplyDeleteTaste is very medicinal and bitter. It's not too bad, really, considering that when you boil it, you're supposed to start off with 2 Chinese rice bowls of water and you're supposed to let it boil down till there's 1 bowl of water left.
So 1 bowl is pretty easy to swallow. The most difficult part is getting rid of the Chinese-medicine smell which lingers for days afterwards.
