Knowing that the 1st day of the 4th lunar month isn't until this Saturday, April 25, we decided to put off taking any pregnancy tests until then. One other factor that has stopped me from taking tests earlier was that since we decided to try for a baby, I had been taking tests every month and most of the time, my period would come on the same day that I took the test. I'd take the test in the morning, get a negative result and eventually get my period in the afternoon.
It has not been fun and we didn't want to jinx the test again one more time.
I woke up this morning realizing that it's the 40th day since my last menstrual cycle. I've been charting since 2008 and so far, the longest I've gone is 39 days. So early this morning, I told hubby that I changed my mind and wanted to take the test today. He said something I couldn't understand, he was still half-asleep, but I interpreted that as a 'yes'.
I took a regular pregnancy test kit (I have lots!) and when I didn't see any lines appear immediately, I panicked and dipped a 2nd stick (an ultra sensitive one). At the 5 minute marks, these were the results:
Both were positive.
Praise the Lord!
